Staggered coil layouts give us a few advantages, one of which is increasing available face area to decrease your face velocity. Another advantage is for coil pull. In this example, the mechanical space was not wide enough to pull the entire coil out for maintenance and replacement. MAS can select half width coils and install them in this arrangement.
